I got scammed by a company I loved.
I’ve long been a fan of Domestika’s classes. I’ve taken their courses, loved their production quality, and even celebrated them here. That’s why I’m writing this—with equal parts disappointment, responsibility, and genuine shame.
Recently, I tried to purchase what I believed was a single class on sale for 99 cents. Instead, I was unknowingly enrolled in Domestika Plus, a subscription service I had no intention of signing up for—and was charged $329 after the trial period I didn’t know about ended.
Imagine my shock.
I immediately reached out for help. Their response? A link to their no-refund policy and a form reply that basically said: tough luck. You can read the page they pointed me to here: Can I get a refund for Domestika Plus?
They have not replied to my follow-up email.
As someone who values transparency and respects the people who read my work, I want to be clear:
👉 Domestika is no longer recommended by me.
👉 Their marketing language is misleading.
👉 And I believe refusing to refund unwanted, accidental subscriptions is a deceptive business practice.
I’m genuinely sorry to anyone who may have joined Domestika because of my past endorsements. At the time, my recommendation was honest. But things have changed. In fact, search Domestika scam and you will see I’m not the only one who was tricked.
We all make mistakes. But platforms that build trust should fix them—not profit from them.
I hope this post helps even one person avoid the same $329 surprise. I have removed their links from my site.
Others who have been scammed have started a petition to try to take action since the company is non-responsive. To sign go to this page on change.org.

Well, this happened to my wife last year. No refund, same tactic. But then we did cancel the subscription and surprise surprise we just had her card charged again for the same that was cancelled last year and that clearly stated on her account as cancelled. This is even worst than the first time. So now we have to cancel that card (after speaking to the card supplier) and that is the only solution. Of course no reply to the many emails apart the usual AI ones. SCAMMERS!
Have just gone through the same thing. Domestika is using deceptive tactics to scam people.
Same thing happened to me. Started with a 99cent purchase I thought was something else. Emailed the company and asked what did I get for $.99 and never received a reply. Then I got a charge for $349 through PayPal on an account not connected with my PayPal. Had to cancel that card and dispute charge. Bank of America assured me I would not have to pay the $349.
Me too, I’ve been tricked! in Australia is came to $600! I’m going to try my bank tomorrow.
Same thing happened to me, I bought a course and was unknowingly “enrolled” to this plus program.
I find it especially predatory as its a platform for creatives, taking advantage and scamming artists and art students is next level evil.
hi, i have just been robbed by Domestika, im from Chile, I took a little curse by only 8 dollars, now they stole from my credit card 400 dollars.
Yes me too! Can’t believe this as I actually thought they were a legitimate company. Very very bad. Scam through and through!
I am among the burned. Trying everything. People should file a consumer complaint here

They are absolute scum. They deliberately hide subscription charges and screw with you when you try to fight for your money back.
Worst part is that even if you do not have enough money in your account left to “buy” another “subscription”, they still clean out your account
They just charged me with $324, and replied to me that it is the renewal on their annual subscription. I never purchased any course or used the app. Thanks to my bank to tak actions on this. I’m so disappointed.
